Yes - I know - I haven't posted anything in sooooo long. Been crazy busy, then sick, then busy again. But now - I'm back :) I will do another separate post about my first attempt at triathlon. All that I can say is that swimming in open water is HARD!
As for running, I'm getting back into the morning routine starting to prepare for the Warsaw Marathon. But, this one I'll be approaching a bit differently as I'll be following a set training plan. The way I've been approaching my past marathons was just by running here and there, with a few longer runs (i.e. longer than 10 km). Now, I know that I need a few more of these longer runs, and a lot more strenght training. With just about 4 months to go, it's time to seriously put this into action.
On another note, I've started reading a very nice book - "The Triathletes Training Bible" by Joel Friel. I highly reccomend it. Even for the non-triathletes, its extremely helpful in explaining sports psychology, approach to training, and the dangers of overtaining.
And finally, if you ever want to get motivated, go to a long distance event. Everytime I attend an Ironman (just as a fan thus far) I come back fully energized and ready to go! And here are some pics to inspire the rest of you:
